Why employers train for this

Hazmat employers must train and test every hazmat employee, within 90 days of starting and again every 3 years (49 CFR 172.704). The US DOT does not pre-approve training programs, and the employer certifies the training and testing. This course covers general awareness, safety and security awareness only. It does not on its own meet 49 CFR 172.704. Function-specific training and security plan training are still the employer's job.

Where it is planned

United States. Awareness only. Rules can differ by country, state and workplace, so check what applies to you.

This course is in development and is not on sale yet. Pricing and enrolment will be published before launch. On completion, trainees will receive a certificate of completion issued by CertiSpark. This is not a regulated qualification and does not replace your employer's duties or site-specific training. It does not guarantee any inspection outcome.
